The Zombies are just pesky, the real monsters are the men and women who go psycho because of the zombies. Dead rising 2 is, for the most part, a mindless exercise in gaming, that can in itself be a recipe for success.

Dead Rising 2

-Start with a faux Vegas environment (Casinos, Shopping Malls, Food Court, Walking Mall).

-Liberally add in a hundred thousand zombies, feel free to be generous there can never be too many.

-Sprinkle in a few hundred weapons, make sure to add in weapons that can be fused together in ridiculous ways.

-Add several heaping helpfuls of needy survivors, the needier the better.

-Add a pinch of psychotic survivors, be careful as they do not mix well with the needy survivors.

-Stick a never ending countdown timer on top so as to remind you that there will be no respite from the zombie apocalypse, needy survivors and children are needy.

-Mix all ingredients in an Xbox 360 or PS3 and play vigorously for 25+ hours.

The online play is a mix of mini games called Terror is Reality. The games are a mix of killing zombies and humiliating zombies. Being able to take the money that you earn from TiR and spend it in the story game are a fresh twist in online play.

The true heart of DR2 is making and testing out weapon combos and seeing the mass amounts of destruction that can occur, if only there was a way to stop that incessant clock from ticking and just letting you cut through zombies freely. DR2 is a good game some players might say that its a great game but time will tell based on its replay value and downloadable content.
